Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

End of DNAC

Anyone see the roadmap for Meraki with Catalyst? Pretty soon we will have full visibility of most wireless & switching SKUs, firmware management, CLI terminal, assurance capabilities and more. This is basically the only reason why my customers buy DNAC. Now they can do it in the cloud without a bunch of servers.

Thoughts? Is this the end of DNAC?

Meraki: Cloud, DNAC: On-Prem. No overlap. There is enough customer base globally for both. Is only path forward for Cisco.

DNAC fell into the trap of trying to do too many things and doing nothing well. It is just too busy a user interface. It was designed to be all in on SDA, which almost no customers adopted. It takes a massive server, is hard to stand up, and once up even harder to extract much value. Good luck getting customers to renew those DNA subscriptions in 3 years when their DNAC software is shelf-ware. There is a reason why many customers are still running Prime today and Cisco is pivoting to "cloud monitoring for catalyst".
