Union?

Had Mondelez ever been unionized for sales reps and merchandisers?

We understand how business operates, we just think that Mondelez infinite cost cutting is doing more harm than good. Seagraves said in a meeting that this plan is his child and will quit if it fails...

About 15 or so years back, union reps were out trying to get backing to start one in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Management got ahead of them and even had meetings with us reps and merchandisers to stress to us the importance of not giving them the time of day to hear what they were proposing. Management used the issue of scale pay as the biggest drawback to unionizing. How everyone would get payed equally no matter how much seniority but look at what we have now... people with 0 experience coming in and making as much or in some cases even more than some of the veteran workers we have. So , yeah , we had a chance back then but honestly it wouldn't have changed anything. Some of us came in during the first super territory program they tried back then and I know they say " we're doing it different this time, we're going to succeed " .. good luck trying to reinvent the wheel, yet again.

Bad by whose standards? Haha! Managers do that now, look who just got let go! The only people with longevity are those whose kids go to school with the RVP and who don’t belong in their positions so they stay. The good employees all leave for better companies or get let go cause they make too much. Getting let go is the greatest gift you can get.

Unions help the bad employees and hurt the good ones.

The Frito Lay reps I know voted the union out years ago. Only after they voted the union OUT did their pay start to go down. They all did better financially with the union.

Not true about pay, but the frito reps do have bargaining power! Mondelez employees should have unionized long ago, instead the management has just abused the employees!

Most unions are scams anyways. Look at frito lay. Those reps have basically seen their pay go down 40% over the last few years are they are unionized
