Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Do not believe Wells Fargo’s deposit issues on Friday was a random “technical glitch”.

Please let’s not insult the intelligence of our customers and shareholders. We just happen to have an isolated technical glitch on a day when there are runs on smaller banks??? Concerns are just now becoming common knowledge regarding the hidden dangers of banks bond portfolios in this rapidly rising interest rate environment.

I had to refresh my memory regarding which assets are subject to the $250,000 FDIC Insurance limits. And I checked my accounts at WFC today. It is not just cash, but also Money Market Deposit Accounts and Certificates of Deposit. Will I pull out anything in excess of the FDIC limit?? Absolutely. And so will others if they are not doing so already.

Is your money safe at Wells Fargo?? Yes I believe it is.
Can WFC technology handle a much higher than normal percentage of our 70 million customers all checking their accounts on the same day?? No way. Somebody F’d up and did not increase our engine capacity that day. Or we could not handle the increased activity even with boosted capacity.

Three and a half years in, and our technology is still antiquated and unable to keep up with this increasingly digital-first world. Charlie better get his act together and put a higher priority on shoring up our technology or he is going to end up looking like a clown.

This technical issue with the deposits has happened again today Saturday October 7th 2023.
I have a receipt of a transaction being wired to my account from a third party but Wells Fargo is not showing my deposits in my account. This actually left behind and dry and almost charged with theft of services for not being able to pay.

Yes it was just a glitch, a direct deposit file was not loaded correctly. It has nothing to do with the SVB closure. Stop spreading rumors.

OP is confused. First part of the rant alludes to some conspiracy. Second part says WF Tech is to blame. Make up your mind but I guess that’s difficult when you’re no-polar.

The chumps that migrated into Leadership positions at Wells, systematically burned down the house by laying off all Business System Analysts, Project Managers, and Enterprise Testers ....and legacy system subject matter experts, followed by pulling every technical process, methodology, and tool that worked, destroyed the culture ...., hired for skin color, se-ual preference, gender preference, and geolocation (india first program) instead of MERIT are the ones that are responsible and accountable for ALL that is happening at this bank. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.

You should educate yourself on “the last go around” before spewing your nonsense.
Also should check your spelling before submitting your nonsense.
