Is there job security for folks at the lower levels of TMG, arguably the lifeline of the company?
I’m referring to the hard working techs, current OMs, SGLs, and supporting staff. There is no accountability for prior years of management (prior OMs or GLs), and so it is appalling that we now suffer the brute force of the inevitable… AMD is king.

Thr BOD needs to hire 3 more VPs of DEI. That will surely solve the problems.
TMG technicians and engineers can’t compare with the hard workers at the foundries.
They don’t work as hard and are soft, this weakness will result in TMG not only having inferior technology but also inferior workforce, no chance to be competitive.
Layoffs are a certainty!
Shift GLs & OMs require minimum of STEM honours degree in Ireland just like Engineering.
Generally hired from Engineering pool here if they manage to convince us to work night shift... 😕
Generally those who work in the fab will not be singled out for layoffs unless the fab itself is closing or coming to a close. Individuals layoffs are rare, but have happened. Intel would rather offer time off without pay during down times because it's more economical than letting people go only to rehire and retrain later for the exact dame job when business picks up.
Hard working OM’s and SGL’s? You’re kidding right? They’re the same grade as an engineer with no technical skills.
TMG is going the way of Motorola and be gone in a few years. Pat’s IDM and IFS is going to ki-l manufacturing
Not really any job security. not only that but more responsibilities with same amounts of resources or less with apathetic management and for no pay raises or rewards or keeping place with inflation. Techs simply ain't respected anymore
Only job security is in grade 10+.
There is no such thing as job security but closer to wafer is safer.
