Lost a few teammates due to layoffs and now 2 more just resigned and beat me to it. Hoping to put in my papers real soon as well. This is going to be very difficult for those that are left on the team to even manage the work load as many are not even cross trained yet in order to complete many tasks at hand. Wells got what they wanted but at what cost.

My branch just had a mandated drag performance in the break room. I want to throw up.
I can sympathize, living this for past 6 months. There are many ways to navigate while remaining employed.
Passively wandering the workday feeling drained during this challenging time is going to work against you big time.
Take action, be above it.
If being likable is important to you, don't ask for permission and start setting up meetings to train others. This should justify decreasing your daily workload while enabling the rest of the team to take on all work (for when you quit). Win-win for everyone.
If you are bitter or spent, simply be selfish and let things fail when appropriate. Don't cover where there are gaps, don't volunteer to work extra when asked. Suddenly your life is most important and treat WF how you are being treated. Every ounce of energy spent at WF should be consciously chosen for your benefit only, to build confidence for future job opportunities. A lot of creativity here goes a long way, it's a game and everyone plays it differently. This absolutely will not make you a slacker, it makes you take control, makes you aware.
Whether or not you asked for it, WF created an environment so toxic you are given no choice but to make the best of it for you and yourself only.

Put in your 8 (6) and collect pay. No sense trying to add value to the sinking ship.
In California, a full work day for a salaried employee is 4 hours.
Get done what you can on an 8 hour shift, go home and don't worry about it. Don't give them an extra minute of work past your 8 hour day unless you are compensated for it. Actions (layoffs) should have consequences for the management that made the decisions.
OP what business line do you work for?
The response should be "I can tackle that extra work, or I can drive to/from a building for no reason, your choice."
You know exactly what is going to happen. You will receive a pep talk, or more likely an email, telling you to Do More With Less. Then your ex-teammates’ work will land on you.
If you don’t smile and say thank you the phrase Not a Team Player will appear in your next review.
As predictable as the seasons.
If being overworked causes more people to quit, that's a favorable outcome in the eyes of the ivory tower.
my team was cut pretty deep--now our mgr is reassigning a lot of work left behind by those displaced.....I'm not happy about the extra work load hitting my queue. Mgmt has promised not to overload us.......promises from this mgmt rarely kept!

Call Mohammed in Bangalore, he will help you.
Get out as fast as possible and don't sweat it. It's not your fault that they got this outcome.
