Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Jimmy was a race car driver

Jimmy was a race car driver

Our plants are idle. We are lacking chips for most of our premium F150 packages. Doug's SW has Louisville shut down. Super duty launch is a disaster. Lightning is literally burning red hot by the dozen. Mustang Spark-E isn't selling well. HR is getting the blindfolds ready for us all to face the firing squads.

And what is our chief doing? He is tweeting that he is down in Sebring cosplaying race car driver on the corporate expense account.

Back in my day we didn't play till after our homework was done, and our homework pile is growing by the day.

I'm very happy to learn that my hard fought TVMs that I unwillingly implemented are paying for you to go Vroom Vroom in Florida.

Let’s not forget about the 7.3L stop ship because rocker arm roller bearings are falling apart!

Keep up the good work Jim Farley!

@2xqa But that goes against Farley's belief that the old timers need to be run out of town because they are untrainable and the company is better off without all those old losers. I have even heard some of the youngsters say that the old timers are the ones responsible for the mess the company is in. My reply is always the same..... Those old losers and b-ms were the ones that put this company at the top of the heap for many years, and to Farley and those youngsters, I give a big (old and fat) one fingered salute.

Anyone in the leadership that knew anything about building cars has either retired or been run off. The current leadership will be the end of Ford if changes aren't made soon!!!

Jf is a charlatan.....my friends at Toyota advised he was never into racing there, it's only a recent part of his schtick. To give him more credibility and make people think he actually knows something about vehicle engineering (which he has no background in)

When we were a cesspool in the late 2000's and Mulally took over, he never took off to go play with toy cars. That guy was at work at 6:00 am every morning because #1 he had a work ethic #2 He knew that there was important work to be done to fix what Billy had screwed up #3 He knew that you dont play the fiddle while Rome is burning. This guy we have now is a complete goofball. Somebody needs to kick Billy in the ba--s and tell him to wake the F up. If he doesnt, all the family will own is a shiny train station with no tenants.

I have a feeling that Jimmy will announce his "retirement" later this year. He'll say it's too focus on his racing and to spend more time with family. Wink wink

Farley is Toyota’s greatest we-pon. He's a Gaijin. Don’t you find it funny how the reason Mulally brought him over was to bring some level of Toyota culture and discipline? 15 years later and the company is a dumpster fire. He was trained to be cunning and ruthless by the company he came from. This is his sole purpose, to serve the Toyoda family first. An infiltration; the day he was hired Toyota smiled ear to ear knowing that they could destroy Ford with their guy from the inside out. Look at his history and track record and this does not sound all that crazy. The Ford family and Mulally were fools to bring him onboard; there should have been more vetting before they took the risk hiring someone from Toyota.

Absolutely astonishing that he used Joe H as a scape goat for the Explorer launch, yet keeps his current execs around. How many more chances is he going to give them? They are all burning this company to the ground.

Farley epitomizes everything wrong with Ford’s executive team. His “all about me” attitude, spinning facts, and believing that the press releases they write about themselves are the truth.

The lack of appropriate education, necessary expertise and competence from Farley’s team is astounding, and the fact that Bill Ford says it’s the best team we’ve ever had is not evidenced by our financial performance.

When will the Ford family wake up and fire Farley and his entire flailing team?

Jimmy was a racecar driver
He drove so godda-ned fast
He never won no checkered flag but he never came in last
Jimmy was a race car driver
He'd say "El S-b number one"
With a Bocephus sticker on his 442
He'd light 'em up just for fun
