Years and years ago, when Bossidy roamed the earth, he said that "product knowledge is irrelevant" in the management ranks. Looking back on it, that was the beginning of the end and the end of people like John Boppart and their ilk running things. There was even an ex-Mattel exec trying to manage the manufacturing facilities south of the tracks, and here's where it ended up. In July it'll be five years I've been out, after 38 years continuous and just over 50 years since I started in the Journal building on Washington. The six of you who understand any of this may appreciate it.

LOL! I’d almost forgotten Torsten and the id--tic process ‘improvements’, none of which amounted to two cents of value. How many failed ISC SVP’s and VP’s does it take to discover your underlying business plan is a complete joke? How many billions in slow and non-moving inventory is required to discover your underlying business plan is a crock of shiitake? It’s the business plan, stupid!
Expect nothing positive and you won't be disappointed.

Aerospace defense customers simply wont talk to VK beyond politeness. Will be interesting to see how he handles that aspect of the business. My aero customer flat out told me the new CEO was a concern today...asked if i thought offshoring would resume.
I hope VK will take a back to basics approach, there has been too much flash without substance lately
HBT is a massive disaster. Attrition is through the roof. The environment is toxic. So not so sure that’ll work out.
Anything would be better than Mad Dog! Time to put the dog out in the ally and live on the streets after what he has done to Aero over the years. He is such a clown!
Should be a positive change, he will likely bring in HBT and PMT leaders, anyone seems better than the current crop
Since mad dog is t of the uhhhhhhh diverse persuasion, he's out. HON is only promoting "diverse" candidates regardless of aptitude. Affirmative action is cool.
I'm surprised that Mad Dog wasn't the appointee... I think that with this, you will see VK appoint his minions. 6-9 months and Mad Dog is out.
When MD was put in place for Aero there was a cleansing. I expect the same here
