Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why no mass exits

Seems like everyone including ELT are quite content with their pay after the cuts. What a bunch of lifers

Once you make it to ELT, you are on the gravy train and if you hang on for even just a few years you'll never have to work another day again for the rest of your life.

Sure, it's embarrassing to tell your neighbors you are in charge of the dumpster fire and when you get up and look at yourself in the mirror you are at war with your sole, knowing you are leading troops into a battle you don't believe is winnable...

Life is full of trade offs.

@1fsu+1lD4lDpe ….. yep , I bailed after 18 months , Intel Ireland really is a Cr-p Place to Work (not a GPTW as it was years ago under Jim O’Hara). AM Holmes and her wee 3 lads are strategically incapable…. so happy I got CPM and was able to leave

Paying less Oregon income tax is like getting a raise by itself.

Recent hire (<5yrs) Techs & PE's starting to bail big time in Ireland, losing heads faster than I've ever seen.
Pharmaceutical industry is paying better & actually appreciates their staff unlike the dinosaur middle management staff around here.

Market is difficult right now. Give it a few months, competition will recover, Intel wages won't.
