Layoffs to long term staff in Bratislava and the hiring of contractors for 1100 euro per month for same roles. Being done one by one so no need to notify. Offering not a bad package to leave but giving ultimatums....take or get fired with nothing.

Yeah, I work with engineers from Brat all the time and they really know their stuff backwards and forward! They’re really pleasant people to work with as well and I’ve developed a good working rapport with a few. I’m very sorry to hear this and feel for them! T has really created a cluster all over the globe!
The folks I have worked with in Bratislava are top notch and and are very hard working so it is very unfortunate that they will be outsourcing jobs elsewhere. In the end is it really worth it if the work will be supported subpar?
Cheaper wages for remote work in India or Indonesia.
Sorry to hear you are impacted outside USA. Times are rough for so many. But T has a reputation for using you up and spitting you out. Have a backup plan.
Makes sense, company must take all steps to improve cash flow. Again, if your current role is NOT supporting Fiber Build or Mobility, your job is a risk. Will be a rough road ahead for the next 2 years leading up to 2025.
I have heard about that. Reportedly they do it in batches of 10-15 people. One week managers said that all is ok, no prospect of layoff in any way for them and next week they got HR call invite. For this round the managers are eliminated from a subsequent process. The same for Kosice. Amplf shows SK staff as 2600+ nowadays.
