Does anyone have solid info about what tech groups can anticipate layoffs - IT, development, digital design?

I'm in design and my team isn't getting assigned any new projects. it feels like limbo. We're just supposed to do, What? Lots of exec's flying in our out for "strategic meetings". I'm guessing we're on the block.
Tech has already been hit--and hard last Tuesday 3/7. TEC engineers and coordinators
I did hear rumblings internally but unsure if the circumstances of layoffs are similar to what happened last Sept/Oct. There have been less experienced workers absorbing what senior engineers were doing and we've had problems because of it. Feels more bare bones on teams and maybe layoffs this time will be more strategic.
