I heard a rumor the at the next layoffs would be in June.
Has anybody else heard something similar? I'm mainly asking because if this is true, that means we're safe for the next few months and I can stop stressing 24/7 over cuts. And yes, I know how sad that sounds but that's the truth.
Chase in the past has a companywide layoff the last part of June or right before July 4th holiday. Then it's followed up by a layoff in September (ironically, the September layoffs seem to always occur after employee appreciation week). Market is still shaky so hopefully they will go easy on the layoff numbers these next few quarters.
I wish they would lay me off tomorrow. Waiting on bg check to finish clearing for a new job, severance would be icing on the cake.
No cuts this quarter. Please relax and just keep doing the best you can.
Idk how long you’ve been with Chase but Chase does layoffs quarterly. 1st quartet is to end March 31. If none happen in March they more than likely will happen end of 2nd quarter April 1-June 30th. At this point I seems they are waiting to see a turn around in the Housing Market.
if you are stressing over cuts go get a new job at a location you feel safe, you are sacraficing your health for a company that will most likely end up cutting you if you are that stressed you are expendable. Let me explain something, if you feel expendable you are 100% going to be cut, even the ones who don't feel expendable sometimes get cut but if you feel you are stressing your job may be cut, there is a really good chance it is going to get cut anyways.
And noone knows, I've been hearing speculation that it will depend on this net rate hike and if it is indeed 1/2 point it will make Chase have further layoffs coming in April or May.
