Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Displacement “services”

These are a joke. Probably what it feels like being the red headed stepchild. Just be sure that when you’re chopped, you take the time to make sure Workday is updated with your personal e-mail and phone. Would also highly recommend opening teamworks from home and make sure you can iron out the bugs of getting into Workday. Took me 3 days to finally get in and the India call center “support” was worthless.

Small PS: I believe WFC is doing this in waves so they don’t overwhelm the poor saps who have to process our exit. Those being let go have already been selected so are pretty much lame ducks.

The only thing I find pleasing about the displacement is my actual pay every 2 weeks. The rest sucked. The "help" was not helpful.

I was laid off from a different company and I did not find my displacement service very beneficial. It almost felt like they wanted me to find another job to make them look more successful. I felt very pressured to do what they wanted me to do and not what I wanted. I took their resume advice and that is it. Resume samples are easy to find though so no great service there. I stopped looking for a job and one came to me. They weren’t there for me and my needs. I would call it a bad experience.

@ocv no worries, and I could have been kinder as well. If it gives you any hope, I was rehired two months after my notice period ended so I didn't lose any tenure. Hang in there- layoffs suck.

@utt: apologies. Comment by me was out of line. It’s difficult and still processing. Time with the company was actually fairly good. Life goes on. Big business does what big business needs to do. Glad your displacement went well. Take care. :)

@utt, good for you. If you don’t like complaining, too fu----g bad. Should I be grateful they showed me the door after 15+ years of employment and year after year of “exceeds” on performance reviews? I’m supposed to be grateful? Kindly fu-k off.

My displacement experience was excellent. They went above and beyond to be helpful and we have a much better severance package than most companies. Stop complaining about everything.

Also 99% finished with moving all of my asset accounts to Chase, Fidelity and Capital One. Even transferring funds from this shithole is a PITA.
