+200,000 F-150’s Recalled by Ford

Via Ford Authority. Failure to perform continues over and over and…..

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2021 Ford F-150 models over a wiper arm failure issue. This extends a recall issued last April, when the automaker recalled select 2020-2022 Ford F-Series pickups for the same reason.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the windshield wiper arms may break, causing the windshield wipers to fail.

The hazards: inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility in certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: windshield wiper arms

Affected vehicles: select 2021 Ford F-150 models produced between January 8th, 2020, and August 16th, 2021.

Number of vehicles affected: 222,454

The fix: dealers will inspect and replace the wiper arms, as necessary, free of charge.

Same issue with the Escape a few years back. How are those "Lesson Learned" and Customer Quality Experience workshops working out for the company? Seems like no one learns or they are overruled by upper management.

From the history of Ford recalls, recalls will only decline 2-3 years after the internal turmoil is over. So, for now, recall is far, far, far from over. More, more and more recalls will come.

We will make up this warranty expense with subscription sales. I hope that team is working hard for every $10/month deal.
