I hope I will find a way out soon. I think that the majority here had huge expectations from this job and so their disappointments are equally big.
What did you expect when you first got a job here and how far have those expectations been fulfilled?

I get free fruits every day and coast around pretending busy. Life's good so far
Just shawshank your way out of there, Andy. Call up your university friends and maybe one knows of another opportunity that you could tunnel yourself to.
Well because what @dli+1lFCvXBt describes doesn’t sound “world class”… that’s why you should prepare for interviews and get ready to exit asap… that’s why…
I expected world class execution, great collaboration and a fun competitive environment. I found the most inefficient organization with negative momentum to improve or innovate. Lifeless employees doing the bare minimum and culture in terminal decline... There are exceptions but they are an extreme minority.
Main breath of fresh air is new hires and new projects. Intel compensation is keeping me here, struggling to get this company competitive thanks to all the internal friction and backwards mindset - Intel is world class, why change :)
Why does it matter? Prepare for interviews now and get the h* out soon. That is what you need to occupy your mind with. The could’ve, should’ve, would’ve don’t matter no more.
Where is 'here' sounds like you recently joined a new fab?
