Search WARN act + your state to see if layoffs are heading your way. Not surprising that WF did not follow this before a round of layoffs in December though in my state.

@2pay, the warn act has nothing to do with notifying employees. It's to notify the GOVERNMENT in case there is something our "leaders" can do to help the situations.
Giving 60 days notice has no bearing on filing WARN notices.
I was going to say the same thing?
“You don't seem to grasp how the WARN Act works.” All WF employees get 60 days/90 days in NY which is compliant with the WARN ACT!
All of CA : https://edd.ca.gov/siteassets/files/jobs_and_training/warn/warn_report.xlsx
Wells Fargo files them wherever required by law. If you think government workers hop right on it and get them posted online immediately after Wells Fargo files them, then you don't know government workers.
They have not been filing WARN notices.
or perhaps he staid at a holiday inn last night
But the OP got a legal degree from Google...
WARN notifications aren't instant.
"Best if the best" for sure.
was going to say the same thing regarding 60day notice period. thank goodness we hire the best if the best.
You don't seem to grasp how the WARN Act works.
Wells Fargo announced 60 days in advance when the layoffs will happen.
Hey, guess what? That is your 60 day notice period. You aren't laid off for 60 days.
The day you are told you are being laid off, Wells Fargo files that WARN Act notice.
60 days pass. You are laid off.
Wells Fargo complied with WARN Act laws.
