Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Can WF hire ANY managers wit experience in the areas hired to lead?

I swear managers are in a revolving door in my area - come in with ZERO knowledge of what our team does, we spend at least 3-4 months trying to train them only for them to totally change things up in w a way that makes no sense only to leave for something higher up within 15 months.
Rinse and repeat….

Look at all the so called processing gurus they have hired. baker and Venable at the top working it’s way down. No clue. No experience. Made a mess of processing. Laid off all the experienced people. These two have a combined 2 years here and destroyed the nations top mortgage company. Two hires of Charlie’s that have failed.

Nice defense of institutionalized racism, but hey, at least you demonstrated that success for everyone is possible and therefore the entire program is a complete waste of time. Nicely done!

People who whine about DEI should ask themselves, if being white and straight is superior, then why aren't you a billionaire?

How is it possible immigrants and people of color and and LGBT folks are running companies and in positions of leadership and getting stupid rich, while you whine about how life is unfair from your mom's basement?

Maybe DEI isn't the problem, maybe you're just not very good at life.

I have an unconscious bias against people that don't know what the F they are doing and racist ivory tower types spewing DEI nonsense. It's ok though, I'm told that I can and should consciously prevent such biases. I'm now much more accepting of incompetent fools and racists. Progress!

Managers, especially middle managers here rarely have banking experience. Most were hired by friends or to check a box. Add to that the passive aggressive put downs when you try to be helpful and it equals "go find a job somewhere else."

How hard you work doesn't matter- it's who you know.

Our department is worse. The new boss comes in completely clueless about what he is managing and rather than reach out to us experts, he berates us and puts us down. Then asks for help from people outside the organization (who are equally clueless). Insecurity and ignorance make for a terrible combination.
