Just another million vehicle Ford recall

Just the brakes, don’t worry Ford customers.

Ford Authority says:

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2013-2018 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ models over a a brake hose issue

The defect: in affected vehicles, the front brake hoses may rupture and leak brake fluid.

The hazards: a brake fluid leak will increase brake pedal travel and extend the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Components: front brake hoses

Affected vehicles: select 2013-2018 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ models produced from February 3rd, 2012, through July 19th, 2017.

Number of vehicles affected: 1,280,726

The fix: dealers will replace the front brake hoses, free of charge.

Don't worry.

The interest in Ford recalls is so incredibly low, the ad revenue generated by views isn't enough to task an intern to write an article about it at any of the auto blogs, or news outlets. Ford is literally immune to bad press because the confidence is so low, it's already objectively baked in.

You forgot the best part. According to the Ford website, recall parts won't be available until the third quarter of 2023.

@twa+1lGr3Wa1 is really something. Talking/writing without knowing what regen brake is and what the limitations of regen brake are.

EV's have regen braking, making a recall like this less critical. Technology by itself will improve quality as you can see.
