It's interesting to see the people that add the least amount of value to the company get to keep their jobs while everyone else gets cut.
Heaven forbid we hire based on skill set rather than arbitrary characteristics.

Because people in today's market get hired due to the color of their skin, and not the content of their character. Woe to those who have called evil good and good evil.
they pay me for 8 hours a day. If they want me to do training instead of work, whatever, I'll just click through it all while watching a movie on youtube TV. I get paid the same either way.
DEI has a higher priority than the financial stability of the company. Bowing down to the alphabet crazies and the far left peer pressure is required if the top executives want to be included in the elbow rubbing events they participate in. Your job, your career, your daily duties are not on the list of things that hold importance. Grasp the reality that you do not matter in the corporate world unless you have a DEI tag and then it is just to toss you out front for pictures and a smile.
Your 2023 quantum commitments explicitly mandate a DEI goal.
"When the narrative moved from equal opportunity to equal outcome, the majority were screwed. It's all about appeasing the marginalized, at almost any cost."
That is the absolute Truth! Well said.
And the marginalized do nothing to help themselves.

Ya I want to turn in my white privilege card since it surely doesn't work at AT&T. Not that I want to be privileged at T, but I am getting sick and tired of all the sh---y references to race and LGBTQ+ and how straight white people are so damned privileged.
It's not even about hiring based on skillset. I know plenty of people with the "skill sets" to do their job, they just really really stink at applying those skills. Draw your own conclusions about what's important to them these days.
They never consider skill set and that’s why the company will continue to fail.
