The irony of being lectured during a Town Hall about reducing carbon emissions while also it being insinuated that we’ll need to be in the office more often…

Why would BK care that the mayors and commissioners want more money? In fact, if they want BK's money they will do everything they can to fight them off. BK has deep pockets but short arms.

Sorry, but there is no way BK is forcing us back to the office to help the pizza shop down the street.

It isn't about the pizza shop down the street, these people don't care about them.
It's about the mayors and commissioners that want the tax income.

I hear all this cr-p about empty buildings and businesses dying because there isn’t enough foot traffic and RTO will help get people back downtown and save these businesses or how it will help with “collaboration”. Couple the fact that along with high inflation and the fact that you’ve saddled me with an additional 200 dollars in gas and parking expenses per month, guess what I don’t have any disposable income for anymore? Guess what isn’t getting done when myself and another employee are “collaborating” for 20 min a couple times a day whether that’s BSing or sitting in a meeting room away from our computers, or when I’m sitting in traffic on an hour commute in and home? So congrats, you got me in the office, I’m now less productive and not in a position to patronize any of these establishments my presence was supposed to help. It’s also important to note, they’ll not take away the perk of remote work from me whilst also reaping the benefits of me being able to log on when I get home. You are renting my time for 8 hours a day, you got me from 8-4 M-F and not one second longer.
Meanwhile... private Jet and private black car service is the only way the executive committee members travel.
Nothing new there - Town Halls are always filled with contradictions with "no feel" messages. Not sure who writes the content for town halls but they lack feel for the average employee.
Shouldn't we be selling our real estate in Manhattan since it will be under water due to global warming? Or don't they really believe in it?
Lots of hot air emitting from the 15th floor of 240 adding immensely to the ‘global warming’ issue
I have better proposals to save the planet instead of taking away our cars and grocery bags that actually work.
Ban all pets and all the wasteful stuff that goes with them.
Ban everything that Hobby Lobby sells.
Convert all libraries to digital and close the buildings.
Ban theaters.
Ban sporting events.
Ban recreational boating.
Ban clearcutting land for massive toxic solar arrays.
See how stupid it sounds to ban things that we don't need? But these commies think they're smart for banning things we DO need.
RV made clear he doesn’t give a flying fu-k (pun intended) about the environment when he took a private jet to Davos on our dime. All that leaded jet fuel in the atmosphere just to be seen next to the cognoscenti and give a forgettable speech.
He will make it even clearer when he mandates us all back in the office — say yes to pollution and single-use plastics!
That sustainable spin is for shareholders and wallstreet. This going into the office for no reason is more about egos. Management just making sure you know who is the boss and who is the replaceable peon.
