There were no layoffs at all, anyone can say they were so and so and got laid off today but lie about it. If that were the case, man up and post your name here. That’s really the only way we could verify if you were truly laid off. There are weird trolls trying to lower morale and encourage quiet quitting. The only ones really at risk going forward will be branch bankers if we’re logically speaking. We are transitioning from the old brick and mortar branch to doing everything on the app. They’ve closed several drive throughs here and we are in need of staffing. They aren’t hiring any tellers we probably have 2 at the most , nor managers lately. What does that tell you?

Also the OP is trolling, I know a dozen people who got severance and no longer work at WF.
Did WF say, "oh, you're leaving, well here's six months pay".

I guess OP wasn't paying attention to those of us who shared that separation pkg delays resulted in layoff postponements and SP Town Hall postponement.
OP you probably had good intentions initially but most people filter everything they read here. At least the 3/21 date rang true and that is enough to keep an eye out here for any more juicy rumors!
Just because you haven't seen a layoff today in your immediate group doesn't mean that zero happened. There's 260,000+ employees and you don't know 99.9% of them. A thousand people could have been laid off today and you'd have no idea. There's no reason to doubt posters here, and the only people torpedoing morale are the worthless turds in Hudson Yards. Get that cr-p outta here.

There are definitely trolls and others with less-than-noble intentions. About 90% of what gets posted here is whining and complaining from uninformed individuals.
That said, you are living in a fantasy world if you think layoffs are only happening at the retail branch level. From technology, to support, to individuals residing in specific lines of business, the company is getting squeezed. Charlie has been very transparent when discussing the size of the bank and efficiency ratios. Total headcount will go down. That is something you can absolutely be assured of based on public proclamations.
