Ford Authority: Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning pickups over a battery pack issue that was originally announced last week.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the high-voltage battery pack may experience an electrical short-circuit when the battery is fully charged or near fully charged.
The hazards: a battery short-circuit increases the risk of a fire.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.
