True, but the # is still a few hundred lower than yesterday...so I guess 60 days ago a bunch of people got canned.
No one is being laid off today. The head count numbers tomorrow will not reflect anything today.
Everyone who was given notice today will remain an employee for 60 days. After 60 days they will be officially laid off.

The meeting wasn't for layoffs. Still here another day.
In SDI - remote in Charlotte.
Yet another round today of a funeral-esque team meeting, announcing the layoffs and providing no clear details on strategy or what to expect going forward. Managers are powerless, unable to give remaining team members any incentives to show up each day.
I guess just be thankful you didn't lose your job? Everyone left at WF should be rubber stamped an Exceeds rating and given the optimal raise and bonus if eligible.
The only people happy these days seem to be the myopic brainless zombie workers.
Confident that I'm on the same team as @awc
This morning's headcount in Teamworks is 268,798. We'll see what it says tomorrow morning after the immediate zz's are factored out.
And then hopefully on Thursday, more people win the layoff lottery they're looking for, and again next Tuesday and next Thursday, and so on.

We can only fantasize!
I sincerely doubt there will be a mass layoff this week. The market instability vis a vis SVB and First Republic most likely led to a postponement until April of the large-scale downsizing. This is why Scotty P cancelled his company-wide cry-session on 3/23.
TLDR: Stay frosty, it's not coming until April.
This is either a JPM troll or BOA shrill that’s making up this 3/21 rumor lol.
