I was asked last week if I would be interested in taking a voluntary severance package "to pursue other interests outside the company".
Sheesh, I just applied for a machine learning role. Well forget Stellantis.
Seeing an annual goals document that was sent out by leadership, I did see the words "let go" referring to one of the targets defined under the "People" oriented goal. To be fair, it was mentioned alongside the words hiring and promotions, so it could be referring to under-performers.
