‘Refounding’ Ford

"Our cost structure is not competitive," Ford CFO John Lawler said on Yahoo Finance Live (video above). "We know that we [have] about $7 billion to $8 billion that we could take out and improve our competitiveness, and you will see that start to take hold as we get through the rest of the year, into 2024, and beyond."

"This is about 'refounding' Ford," Lawler said about the company's cost cuts and operating structure.

In other related news the majority of the lease customers are purchasing their lease cars as they come off of lease. They are doing this as the prices went up significantly and it makes sense to keep the vehicle.
FC had projected making a significant profit off of these used vehicles as customers rolled into a new lease. Another not gonna happen

How about D-mbfounding?

Ford, while refounding the companies operations are effecting the employees in a d-mbfounding manner.

Look at the auction prices for Mach E and Lightning and you will discover the truth…interest in Ford’s EV products is waning and is capped well below the company’s projections. Look out below…

The new financial reporting shows a line item for OPEB and pensions. What happened when GM got rid of its pensions? How was it structured?

Lawler knows damn well Ford is in serious financial trouble, Ford sold its shares in Rivian, all the ' mobility ' biz ( SPIN, etc ), all the ' refounding ' B$ is just more repackaged cr@p. We heard it from Mark Fields, then again from Hackett. There is no transformation, Doug and Jimmy are not capable of delivering profitable EVs. Take a look what's happening in the studios, especially Irvine! Who the he-l is approving this g@rbage!!!????? Almost every OEM is well into the EV market, and the Chinese EVs are waiting to dominate North American market. None of the so-called digital teams are delivering the subscription services ( again, all talk and nothing to show ). Way too many fakes at the company. Investors and shareholders are well aware, the stock is junk and Ford is on every unethical and worst company watchlist thanks to all the age discrimination and harassment lawsuits.

What gets me about this .. no mention about this in the Townhall yesterday. So much for being informative to the employees. This is a prime example of lack of leadership.

WSJ headline: “Ford Says It Will Lose $3 Billion on EVs This Year as It Touts Startup Mentality”

There is $3,000,000,000 in unnecessary cost we should eliminate.
