Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Leo has destroyed technology

After displacing the COSMIC team, there is one guy desperately trying to support it. Leo has stated that it will be 3 months before COSMICs replacement will be ready. If anything goes wrong with COSMIC, that’s it. No new windows hardware can be imaged. That includes kiosks to access Wave. Leo is the very definition of incompetence. I’ve experienced the results of some really bad decision making, but displacing your primary talent pool is stupid on an order of magnitude. Executives have been fired for far far less than this

Agile and Scrum will fail as it has failed in many other company's. I like the good old days where you are assigned a task and just plain old do it.

Yes.

Whether he wants to admit it or not Agile will be gone in a few years because it is a failure.

Capital One took nearly 6 years to figure this out and ditch it.

Did saul say in one of the AMA that Scrum Masters will be obsolete in a couple years?

The reason they wanted a recap or minutes was due to most could not join the call as we kept getting errors. Teams can’t handle it.

Share details about the “privilege” call! I feel like I missed out. :-)

The guy definitely sounded bothered or angry for having to host the call, but that’s been his demeanor since day one. His hiring has always surprised me. That said, the two questions asked at the end were quite silly if I’m honest. Meeting minutes? There was nothing of substance shared, and his calls never have meeting minutes. And to ask him if he would recap a call with 500 people on the line because you joined late? Nah.

Agreed. The only people that use the word "privilege" with it's recent connotation are worthless A holes that like to control other people. If I was doing the same to them it would be a "micro aggression". Either way, they can eat a D.

I joined Leo's call and hung up as soon as all that background noise took over. His brute-force old country brevity style of delivering the message of job loss + nimbleness rates low. Never heard him speak before and within minutes he validated what I think about that guy. Another corporate tool, a useless rusty one.

Wish I had been in on that call instead of the one where you can now call me a chimney from all the smoke that was blown up my a$$. Every other word was privilege, I should be happy to have the privilege for such and such.

Technically they can call back anyone they laid off for the next 60 days as they are still employees until then. And if those employees refuse, they can be fired without severance.

That US all hands he "led" today was the lowest point of my career. I have lost all faith in leadership. Absolutely the worst call I have ever been a part of. I'm embarrassed and disgusted by how it was handled and what was said.
