Whenever I go into the office the conversations I have are all centered around how much we hate RTO/looking for a new job/being stuck in pointless meetings all day/how WF is going downhill LOL

RTO… “Everyone is returning. You can collaborate with your coworkers”. Drive 32 miles just to sit alone. Walk around see about 2 people every 200 cubicles if even that. Everyone who is there looks like they lost their best friend.
Commercial Banking is nailing employees on the 3 day RTO requirement as part of the reorganization. Although Commerical Banking is laying off employees, they have forced many of my colleagues out through performance reviews.
I actually love working here. To bad this company doesn't care about actual work any more.

I’m paid well for what I do, but the lack of infrastructure and accountability makes me question my sanity daily. I’m seriously contemplating taking a pay cut to go elsewhere, and just have to hope it will be better.

Yes. People in my area who have no business reason to speak to each other are bonding over their shared frustration and anger over what has become of Wells Fargo.

I don't hate it, I don't love it. I make really good money in my field. The only problem is since mortgage has completely dried up, in the event I do get canned, getting another gig close to the same income would be pretty difficult right now.

Clothing stores, Car manufacturers, Catering, Restaurants and many more depend on your spending. You avoided that in covid times. Only grocery stores made many because you are just eating staying home. Stop complaining. You got 2 days now.
Abt Saul , he is immigrant. He has to push for outsourcing and that is why they hired him. Someone has do the sh-t job. Every company place an Indian or Immigrant to send jobs out of america. A war in India will hurt US and all the maintenance jobs will come back. They might call you home to come back for any pay like the Y2K time. So leave your address and phone numbers with HR after your layoff
Many of us can't leave because it is the same everywhere in US. Almost all are advised by the same big 4 consultant companies.
My old bank uses them to set the rules who to axe, we even have motivation videos to encourage letting people go, that it is clearly not working. I will never forget it how poorly we are treated, and that is not in Wells.
If so many people hate it here, then why don't you take control of your future and find something else that you enjoy? Why suffer through years of hatred?

Well, ok. Maybe there were 3-4 years where it wasn't pure hate.
I don't and don't even mind coming into the office that much. I've had good career movement over the years and on the occasion I had a bad manager I did something about it and changed roles. rto wise, while Im not co located with my team the people around me are nice enough and we enjoy each other's company. If you aren't happy it's up to you do something about it else you can sit around, complain, and continue to gbe miserable. Remember, the grass isn't always greener.
