Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF mktg team incompetent

WF mktg campaign mgrs are lazy and don't know what they are doing. In-house agency is anything but a COE, constantly pumping out error-ridden files. Have never seen such a cluster in my career. This has been going on for yrs and it's amazing these people are still employed and protected by equally incompetent mgrs. Total embarrassment.

They’re quick to say this is the direction from sr. leaders.

This is their way of saying they know you’re right but they have no choice. Not that it helps matters any. Remember. Paper trail. Paper trail. Paper trail. Be sure to keep all marked up PDFs. For when they make changes without your knowledge and try to hang it on you later. Because they will.

I really love when they pushback on my guidance or requirements. They’re quick to say this is the direction from sr. leaders. Cool, well, I don’t give a DaMn. Your senior leader could be Shart himself and it won’t change a thing. Then they want to escalate the issue. Go ahead. If someone over me goes along with this nonsense, they can approve it bc Im not. I found out quickly they don’t respect their governance partners and think they play by their own rules. A few months ago they put out an ad about extra grace with tow truck drivers while we had a consent order about unlawful repossession!! BUT THEY KNOW IT ALL. LOL

It they’re diverse, use wrong pronouns, and expect to be an Exec VP in 2 years because of their entitlement!

from the OP: "WF mktg campaign mgrs are lazy and don't know what they are doing."

I was in marketing and quit about a year ago. I was surrounded by the incompetence, and all they cared about is being more woke. All that virtue-signaling was ridiculous. It's only going to get worse. That was my feeling so I quit.

@2jsd+1lN891aX you have obviously been thrown under the bus by a marketing “partner”. Document. Document. Document.

It’s too late to cover whatever incident has you so bothered, but going forward you need to document every contact. Keep detailed notes of every conversation. Save every email. Keep a list of every unanswered communication with date, time, and purpose of contact. Document EVERYTHING.

Marketing tried to sc--w me over but the paper trail saved me. Make sure yours would hold up in court.

So sick of all the kumbaya talk of partnership. In Marketing, no one cares about being a good partner. CMs are the most incompetent, selfish people I've seen. Ghosting partners and sticking the knives in others' backs. Then they try to act all innocent like it wasn't intentional. GTFOOH.

CMs expect partners to do all their work while they skate by. It's so bad rn and they are protected by their mgrs. Then they try to blame partners when things go wrong. They are back-stabbing weasels.

Bank of doing is the lamest excuse for a campaign I've seen and I was here for reestablished.

The fact that campaign managers have "manager" in their titles is a joke. They couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag. Most LOB campaign mgrs should be replaced. It wasn't always this way, but has been for years.

The attitude in marketing is that they are the experts and should be treated as such. This comes down from the top. If they allow themselves to be swayed by the needs or opinions of their partners they are considered weak by their leaders and this affects their performance reviews.

Imagine getting into an argument with your husband every morning before you drive to work to defend the job that keeps you disconnected from him. I did this for 5 years and I will never let Wells Fargo interfere with my real rights ever again. I see what they’re doing to us ladies.

Si glad someone finally said it. So sick of the junior level marketers here. Why do they get paid, much less paid so much? They don't attend training or attend and have brains like sieves, ask everyone else but their mgrs and peers how to do their job, and could care less about the quality of their work or the negative impact they have on partners. It's ridiculous.

Marketing has been a joke for 15 years. And they all get paid well
