Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Failed leadership

That feeling when your business line is wondering who is going to onboard and train the backfill employees after they got rid of all the management and the other workers quit….This place is run by absolute fools

@tdk+1lQ79BYO The corporation is impacted everyday. The contagion of ranked morale and brain drain is apparent. Will the corp be Ok? Sure, but it will take a toll on anyone sticking around. Depending on where and why this stuff is occurring, there may be regulatory issues down the road as well.

In the tech side, there were maintainers and there were creators. Agile didn't change things. Maintainers would make up stories and reward themselves mega points for simple maintenance tasks. Managers rewarded the maintainers at the cost of the creators. Most creators I knew left to other divisions, to other companies, or silently quieted.

I haven't seen displacements hit middle mgmt level... I think we are very top heavy. My LOB lost 3/4 of team.....mgr now only has a handful directs. Mgr isn't going to jump in...he's busy trying to look busy assigning work w/o overloading us. How is that possible?

@tdk If chainsaw were to leave the bank would be positively impacted.

Care to revise your statement?

@cxx+1lQ79BYO "Between the combination of layoff's and people resigning this will hurt MY TEAM only for the short run but all slots will be back-filled or the work will be moved to competent people who come after us." FITFY

Anyone who things this org will truly be impacted by anyone's exit has their eyes closed. If you're one person and you support some hyper specific thing all by yourself, guess what, that thing is not all that important if there is only you with the keys to the kingdom. Leave, it may have very short term impact but someone will fix whatever is going on.

Funny you bring this up as we lost a few people on our teams and a few also have resigned. Between the combination of layoff's and people resigning this will hurt Wells at least in the short run and possible for the long run. A lot of this makes no sense but it will be a lesson to be learned.
