Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Will AT&T ever be able to compete with Verizon and TMobile?

AT&T should have changed their name years ago. The Executives at AT&T think the name has value while the customer market associates it with Monopoly, Bloat, Over Billing, and Belligerence. You didn't see Bell Atlantic, GTE, or Deutche Telecom? They should have gone with something bold, something new, something like "Lightning Bolt Air", "Cheetah Speed Wireless", "Magic Fast", "Rush Express Air", you know something clever like Dr-g Dealers who name their product like Frank Lucas with "Blue Magic". Instead we have Monopoly Sc--w You with Fees AT&T.

Click on the Verizon link at the top of the page. You will see the same comments as you see on this page. Same song different names.

It's not about competing anymore to see who can spend the most money. If the service is adequate, don't spend the capital to compete with the big dogs. Stop measuring network performance to see how we rank against the other carriers will be going away. That is what capital constraints will do to a company.

Or, they could have ran their business properly and gave AT&T a great name with the brand recognition.

And don't forget, our "benefits" are a source of profit for AT&T.

Which is why I have Mint Mobile, Sling TV, OOMA & Spectrum Internet and Original Medicare with a Supplement/Rx plan.
