Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Layoffs Occurring Everywhere…

People should be outraged when they see a former Northern Illinois Director get hired right back as contract project manager with all of his cronies reporting to him.

The cherry on on the sundae is the tight lipped project they have been assigned to.

These individuals have gotten away with highway robbery for years working for the company.

It’s not a COBC violation to bring people back as contractors. Many former senior officers left & are back working as contractors.
It’s getting more common with lower levels now too. We pay so much for contractors, surprised this is allowed from a financial standpoint.

I feel for the people losing their jobs throughout ATT because I personally know what it is like to be laid-off from T. It's an empty and lonesome feeling with nobody to reach out to. Layoffs might be occurring everywhere in Illinois, but not everywhere in the country. There are some growth areas of the business where T is still hiring technicians. The company is very screwed up and seems to be barely hanging on!

Just look at all of the people listed as contractors working out of the Wilmette central office.

I am sure most will recognize the issue immediately.

That Blue Island group is pretty messed up. Lots of family and friend stuff happening there for decades.

If there is any underhanded activity going on within at&t, look no further than Illinois. Chicago is "on fire" and ain't nobody doing nothing about it. South Chicago is like the wild, wild west. This creates a perfect environment for these at&t contracted cronies to run their game.

Now the kids of the retired connected ones are taking over as Directors. It is a total joke! They are the worst because they think they earned it.

The amount of friends and family working for current directors is mind blowing.

At least we know where all the connection awards are going.

Illinois has always been a bastion of cronyism. The little kingdom’s change every once in a while.

Bet they have fun playing golf, eating, drinking, and lining their pockets as well as their vendor buddies pockets. See the good ol days still exist for some.

This is considered normal ethics for at&t Illinois. Nothing new, we just expect nothing less!
