Nice try HR spy. Get people to access a VZ system through a unique key word shared here. Then you can know who venting here **the insider threat.
There should be more openings dedicated to social justice
The Insider Threat Operations team has been around and growing within the CISO org for several years now so I don't see this as anything noteworthy.
As far as @hlo+1lWd8IW2's post about the Cybersecurity org taking kickbacks from India because the org supposedly has execs from there, that's just not true. Please provide evidence of these Indian execs in the CISO org, which is where the ITO team is a part of.
What a joke.
Jobs are probably related to the FAA 2.4B contract VZ recently won. I assume the FAA work is onshore, secure work. I'm surprised VZ won the contract given they outsourced 90% of their IT/tech workers to India/Infy. But now VZ is going to have to prove to the FAA that the work/data is actually secure (ie only accessed/worked onshore).
Many of VZ's existing systems are "onshore" access only. Yet VZ India and Infy can access them easily from India by going through US jump servers or Infy US VPN servers. VZ could easily secure this. But, since the majority of VZ Data & Network Security execs are from India, they don't do anything about it. They get kickbacks from India/Infy for every American job they take away and give to India.
Maybe the US gov should do an audit of the VZ/Infy systems/servers in India and make sure there is no sensitive data/information over there.
In action, watch the timing.
With as many non-Verizon employees with access to our systems and all the contractors in third world countries this is no surprise.
