Is this limited to a few groups or is it company-wide? How many people are going to be affected? Have people who are getting laid off already received their invites for meetings or are invites still going out? I'm sorry about all the questions, but I'm nervous and stressed out and I would just like to know what's going on.

I’ve been RA this week. All layoffs should be communicated before the end of next week. The total will be annouced on the first-quarter 2023 financial results on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 5:00 p.m ET. They did this for the 4Q 2022 results in January when they annouced the 3900 layoffs from the remaining Wateon Health/Kyndryl employees who where notified at the beginning of January.

I'm personally happy as
- I get 3 months not 30 days as I'd been hearing for a long time; still for 6 years could be more
- I've already got another job
Days are long gone (at any company) when one could run 'ypcat passwd' and awk output into date and cluster buckets and counts of folks let go
People keep asking about the 3,900. Today is in addition. The 3,900 were notified in Q1 in other countries such as the UK plus those left that didn't go with Kyndryl and Watson Health. April's earnings announcement will tell how many are impacted in Q2.
Development Manager and top Employee focusing on Security and Compliance were let go. Dev Mgmt was not involved in the "identification" phase and 2nd line Mgmt will not tell 1st line manager who from their team is impacted by this. Cr-ppy Severance not based on time with company. Work 30 days, then 3 months where they will take out about 40% for taxes (which will only happen if you sign that you will not sue them and relinquish all your rights to class action or any lawsuit later).

This should be a larger number than 3,900 announced in January and will most likely be documented in 1Q2023 earnings charge in a few weeks time.
Today's RA is across the board. No one is safe today. Software, Consulting, Talent Acquisition, HR, Security, etc.
All letters, all bands. Hearing reports of people at all levels getting notice. Shocking.
Coaches with impacted employees were notified late yesterday.
What is the breakdown of the role, any 1st, 2nd or nth line managers/executives among the cut ?
America WSP entry level all impacted - this is falls under HR
The Mac/Windows Help Desk in Austin, TX received the news just today (4/4/2023), last day is May 4th (30 day notice), getting a 3 month base pay after that.

Someone I know...regular employee, great performance, had been on the "look for new position at IBM" program, received notice of last day in May. 30 days notice, 3 months severance.
