It is not EMITs fault….our fearless leader DW personally made the decision to skip O365 because MS held the keys. He skipped EMITs recommendation to move to O365. Fact. Give credit where credit is due.

Need physical control of keys because disclosure risk is higher than any other corporation on the planet? Paranoid, guilty or d-mb? Or AoA.

To call our IT department a complete tu-d is an insult to tu-d........Regarldess of your working timezone, they will pushout windows update in the night time of AP time.....i.e. right after morning coffee in CST. Special skills includes, slowing brand new laptops to a grinding halt, CPU utilization always at 30% + even when nothing is running, constant software harvesting.....

The computer my wife’s company gave her runs the latest Office 365 and it might as well be alien technology compared to the stone tablets we have.

@odg+1lY3uxeX The reason it causes problems is because the installation was full of errors. Seeing as I don't work in IT, I don't have the expertise or access permission to resolve it myself.

Consequently, 8 hours of work lost to get the installation fixed.

Clearly you're much wider and boarder than me, so perhaps you can do a role thar bears no relation to your discipline expertise 😎

most EMIT employees who were able to get outside jobs have already done so - guess what’s left?

We have an IT department? I thought all we had left was glorified project managers

The rest of the world is on Office 365. But since we have to have 100% control over encryption keys on cloud-based systems, we remain in the dark ages. EMIT and Senior Management believe computers are more of a security risk than a productivity tool. And we call ourselves “innovators”?

Now you know why most of you are unemployable outside of Exxon.

If office 2016 is giving you problems then it’s time to retire. Seriously. Just go.
