Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Your criteria when looking for a new job?

Of course, the grass is not always greener, but rarely do I hear that someone has regretted leaving here. I don't know what your criteria are when looking for a new opportunity, but for me the stability is really important.
Thinking about how I might lose my job here depresses me terribly and I can't take it anymore. I will gladly agree to a slightly lower pay, only if I know that the new job is more stable.

Not owned by AlliedSignal. When I have an interview and it’s being done by a Honeywell employee. I am not interested. With all the management is Honeywell. I am not interested.

No degrees needed. No knowledge needed. I can see why aerospace is such a mess they are.

I hadn't interview with the company. When an ex Honeywell management showed up for the interview. I said I wasn't interested.

Just look what happened to Honeywell, they're not qualified to run an outhouse. Your house wouldn't have toilet paper. Because they pay their bills every 6 months, and I always would smell. Because there's always be cleaning it so they can get more overtime. Kind of like reworking parts.

No pay cut needed, and stop that. Too much work out there if you're good at all.
I looked for how the company treated during rona, when the 401k match is paid, vesting schedule, insurance costs and coverage, and time off policy. EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY was easily out performed at the new place. It was a no-brainer. I'd like to think Hon would be more stable at its size... but then we all learned how unstable it really is with furloughs and layoffs, pay freezes, hiring freezes.... etc.
Get out asap, it's worth it.

I went to Boeing. I got a promotion to lead engineer, doubled my pay, and am completely remote. I don't regret leaving Honeywell at all. I only miss my colleagues. Keep looking. You'll find someplace that is better. It took me two years.
