Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Well Done; 20%+30% bonus!

Evening everyone, I am thrilled to let you know that with these results, eligible employees (Director level and below) will receive their payout of their Mid-Year Advance. As a reminder, this is 50 percent of the total target bonus. For more information on eligibility and the mid-year bonuses, please visit the Professional and Leadership Incentive (P&LI) SharePoint site.

Continuing to deliver strong business results enables us to not only bring stronger programs and rewards for our people but also allows us to fuel our purpose to Power an Inclusive Future for All. A healthy, sustainable, and inclusive world is something we can realize through our technology and our people, and I want to thank you for your ongoing commitment.

We have incredible momentum in the market, and I have great confidence in what we can achieve in the second half of FY23 and beyond.

Regards,
Cisco ELT

I confirmed Directors and below get the bonus. This is likely due to the bonus remix last year as Directors now get a lower bonus than they once did.

What is still so hard to comprehend his why Cisco is laying people off after two record quarters in a row! They say it is about the long term outlook. That's fine, then stop telling employees how important they are and then laying them off. A layoff means one thing, Sr leadership didn't do they're job, so cut Sr leadership bonuses instead of doing a layoff!

When do we get the bonus in our check?

Read the relevant document on the SharePoint site. If you don't have access to it, you're not eligible to get the bonus, so you don't need to know. If you can get to it, then you can figure it out for yourself.

Hint: The lead story on the CEC page that says we're getting our bonus has the link to the SharePoint site so you don't even have to search for it.

Why are you asking on a site for laid off employees for internal info? Ask your manager when you'll get your bonus. Heck, our manager was proactive and told us in our next team meeting after the earnings call announced the payout. I guess your manager sucks.

Isn’t this a bit cruel post given it’s a site for those who have been laid off?

Gee, our stock takes a 6% ($3) positive jump after the FY23Q2 results and nothing was said about needing to have an LR.

Maybe Cisco's ELT needs to figure out how to have great quarters without letting people go to boost our stock prices rather than depending on cutting costs (aka people resources) to boost share prices. We never get this good a bump after announcing the LR cost savings.

@OP+1ldGJ6hK This is new - started when they shifted % bonus to salary last year. Directors went from 33% to 25% target bonus, and moved to mid year advance payouts.
