UB Branch Closures Announced

May 31st is the end of the road. Displaced UB employees will be moved to existing US Bank branches. You will be notified of your new location assignment only 30 days prior to your branch closure. Those coded as CRC4 and CRC3 will take priority (good luck current BSSOs & BSSs codes as 1s & 2s). If there is not space for you at a US Bank branch within your region, you will be made a float. You will be responsible for subbing at any one of 20+ branches within your region. This is US Bank’s clever way of bypassing severance, even if there’s not physical room for all of the incoming UBers. Obviously this miserable existence of floating within a huge geographic area will force any UBer out who doesn’t secure a position at a specific branch. Managers have it the worst since there are far fewer management positions available.

If you’re curious about what CRC level you’re coded as, you can find it on your workday profile. Within the string of CBB-UB-ETC looking code, you’ll see CR1, CR2, CR3 or CR4.
We’ve ascertained that ABMs are 4s, Bankers are 3s, Officers are 2s, and Specialists are 1s.

Best of luck on your job searches, UB colleagues! Onto greener pastures. You deserve better. <3

You are incorrect. ABM's are CCR3. US Bank realized that ABM's don't have any real banker experience other than operations. If you ask me they should be CCR2 since most don't have any sales experience or very little performance in sales.

US Bank got rid of Asst Manager roles almost 3 years ago. You are downgraded. You are general staff. Ow as a CRC. Welcome to the life of quotas.
Meet quotas or get fired or close your branch. Direction is Fintech. Closing everything except city branches over next couple of years. Probably faster now with rising rates.

Left in Nov after 7 years. Your grades are accurate. They freeze pay grades often. Lucky if you see 1 or 2% merits, often zero. The future is in Fintech and close rural branches. Stopped maintaining many branches. Terrible technology. Fire people on a whim for no reason, with a "do something about it" attitude. RUN!

Anyone down voting this is still drinking that USB koolaid believing the false promises that they’ll take care of you.

Actually, it sounds like far fewer branches are closing than I feared, and more of them are older, legacy U.S. Bank ones, not Union Bank. I think that could be good for Union Bank employees.
