Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Layoffs and slashed benefits!

Come for at Change where many US employees enjoyed unlimited discretionary PTO....not anymore! The Optum benefit package is gutting unlimited discretionary PTO and there is zero transparency. I am hoping for a severance package but it will probably only be a $100 Starbucks gift card and one day of pay with how cheap Optum appears to be....

Discretionary PTO is/was not as great of a benefit as you folks are making it out to be.

Our discretionary PTO is gone, health insurance costs going up, prescriptions through the roof, the list goes on. Anyone have a positive change to share? Leave now.

Good Luck to all Change Health Care employees! As a nurse we have not heard a peep about anything, not even sure if we will be employed. Every move is under the rug and we will all be blindsided sooner than later. I am getting out ASAP and currently looking elsewhere before the storm hits. Wondering if we will be paid our PTO or not, doubt it will carry over to them. There is a link on the web that speaks about United Health Cares severance package and how it may affect you.

The company is still a mess from the last merger that birthed the latest Change Healthcare. We have ancient legacy products mixed in with our brand new development. I lose track of how many siloed fiefdoms that are in play. We still don't even have everyone on the same messaging application and most of us have at least five different domain credentials just to do our jobs. Now a new merger will compound it all. Have you tried to make a service or access request lately? IIQ, Service Portal, Remedy, etc. It's a nightmare and I'm not optimistic that the new organization will ever consolidate it all.

This new organization clearly wasn't designed to retain or attract top talent and will likely lead to an exodus. The acquisition was about assimilating intellectual property and a few key products. It may be best to ask yourself if remaining behind will prove to be a good career move. It's unlikely that this conglomerate will remain on the cutting edge. Big, slow, and has that big government bureaucracy smell.
