GES Surplus-Leggio Org

I was one of the lucky folks impacted by the surplus in Tony Leggio's org. I shouldn't be surprised my boss never liked me. This is one of those hard learning lessons that if you have a supervisor that clearly doesn't like you, leave when you have the chance. Hoping I'll find something soon

OP states a great lesson, twice in my career I worked for people I didn’t get along with. Both times I put my effort into moving to a new org/ different job. Was the best move I ever made! If you and your supervisor don’t get along they will certainly put your name in the surplus hat if your org is impacted. Regardless how smart you are or how much work you do.

To the OP: even though getting laid off isn't easy, you will end up in a better place because there cannot be a worse place except for twitter.

Good luck!

I was a in similar situation, had a target on back for while, glad I received the surplus notice, pay my severance and I'm outta here.

When others on my team retired or moved onto different teams, the manager backfilled those roles. When I applied for internal roles, manager torpedoed those opportunities, assigned work to the new guys while I'm bored out of my mind. Kept me around for surplus I'm sure. I have 25 years of field experiences and seen my share of bad managers, but T is full these of them, make sense good people wouldn't stick around for too long.

Anyway, OP, best of luck to you. Long term, I believe we are better off, leaving this he-l hole.
