Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Same issues year after year

I was trying to think of a few things that have improved here in recent years. When I look back, I don't see that there were any changes for the better. Instead of getting the company back on track, Intel is just piling up issues. Is it a lack of leadership vision or what? It's getting frustrating.

Moore's law is empirical and dead. It's been in the hey days when Intel bravado worked and when it was the sole power in town. No longer. Intel has been on the decline for a long time. It is evident from their slip in process technology over a number of years.

the top holders are passive index funds. they don't care either way whether they own intel or not, they just match the indexes that they track that intel is part of. its nothing more than that.

Most of these guys carry Intel as part their index funds holdings, i.e. because they must, not because they particularly care.

I am surprised that Moore is still moored to the sinking ship. The loss must be horrendous.

The rest probably care more about the woke agenda, finishing Intel off then move elsewhere like fleas leaving the corpse.

Vision is easy. Implementation is hard. The key is neither the board nor the CEO, but the true controllers of Intel, i. e. the biggest investors. Here is the list:

Blackrock Inc 8.07% 333,897,559 $9.22B Institution
State Street Corp 4.30% 177,871,536 $4.91B Institution
Gordon Earle Moore 4.18% 172,992,357 $4.78B Insider
Geode Capital Management LLC 1.99% 82,216,762 $2.27B Institution
Capital International Investors 1.53% 63,089,266 $1.74B Institution
Primecap Management Co 1.37% 56,571,961 $1.56B Institution
Morgan Stanley 1.29% 53,342,230 $1.47B Institution
Northern Trust Corp 1.14% 47,357,308 $1.31B Institution
