From WARN letter: The following was sent Tuesday to Connie Parks, Chief of Labor and Training Operations at DBR by Honeywell HR Manager Angela Francis.

"Dear Chief Parks:

We are writing to give you notice that there will be a total closure of the Smithfield facility located at 10 Thurber Blvd in Smithfield, Rhode Island on November 17, 2023. The entire facility will be closed and all employees at the facility will be impacted. This closure is expected to be permanent. The expected date of the first separation will be April 22, 2023.

All affected employees have been notified of their separation dates and that their separation from employment will be permanent. Those employees are expected to be separated from employment beginning on April 22, 2023, with all separations accomplished by November 17, 2023.

Attached is a list of the job positions, the number of individuals who will be affected, and the anticipated schedule for job losses. There will not be any bumping rights for the affected employees, that is, employees will not be able to displace more junior employees out of their job positions as a result of this closure. There is no union representing affected employees."

Clearwater people? LOL The management there sucks, and lots of good engineers like me had left. There are BETTER companies out there.
Have worked for 6 different companies, and Honeywell is easily the worst of all the employers I worked for.

This is what we’re going to see at aerospace. Expect to see this letter for Minnesota Minneapolis in the near future.

Let’s see if I can predict future. The vice president of Clearwater engineering came to our site. He was making sure that all the automation equipment was on schedule.

Last year they got done, measuring the equipment, length width, and height. They need to know what powers or is it needed. They needed to know if it’s a DI water or not. Watt pipes that needed and etc.

A couple years earlier. One of our electricians had to hook it up one of their pieces equipment when he arrived he said it looked like a duplicate plant. Same parts being built and same layout.

This week a bunch of Clearwater people showed up. They’re mad that our quality sucks. So they are going to decertify them, they also considering doing this particular job at Clearwater. I bet it won’t stop just said this job.

Yes! I’m glad I’m putting applications out. I think my plant is short-lived. The only way they’re going to get that stock to go up just go to a state that has low cost labor. Cheaper taxes. A right to work state.

This will result in our stock going up. Then I’ll have higher dividends again. When the system no longer works. They will have no choice but to sell all parts of aerospace. By then they’ll probably venture into another business. Which, of course I’ll run into the ground. By milking it for every penny it has. They will gut everything.

The end is near. Even though I’m an older worker. I know it’s time to leave. The SS Honeywell Aerospace units are starting to sink.
