Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I gave notice, now what?

My manager has been ghosting me since I gave notice. I WFH and I don’t know what to do with all my equipment. The office is an hour away so I don’t want to do that commute, but I haven’t heard anything from my manager or anyone else on what to do with it. I am on PTO my last week of notice so today is my last working day and I still haven’t heard from my manager. I entered my resignation in workday thanks to a coworker that told me to; otherwise, I would not have know because my manager didn’t tell me anything.

I left approximately six months ago and gave a week notice. My manager did nothing despite saying he would, and I discovered there is no HR to call. I did find a link in Workday about how to resign and did that (check box). . An email came where I self-disclosed equipment I had. Two empty boxes arrived by Fedex with no instructions about how to fit two monitors, laptop, headsets, keyboard, docking station, mouse, bricks, cords etc. Not enough padding, most of it was in there loose. I sent it back immediately to be done with Wells.

My access gradually shut off iverbthe next day or two, to the point I could not do any work my final few days. I never had an exit interview. My final paycheck included unused PTO.

It was a strange experience in terms of it all being automated. Stranger that I had to go into Workday to initiate the process, not my manager. Maybe a good manager does it.

Put in a ticket with HR and I promise your manager will do something about it. Use the MDT (monitored disposal tool) to create your own request to return you equipment.

The same thing happened to me.

Try the admin for your LOB. They should be able to send what you need to return your equipment.

So you are asking an anonymous internet board of trolls instead of just calling HR

Looks like your logic and problem solving abilities will not be missed

Search for Monitored Disposal. This is a really good process. Fill out the form. Look on the bottom of your laptop for the Service Tag. That’s what you enter for your equipment. Use your personal email address so you will be notified. Your manager will automatically be cc’d. A box, label, and packing supplies will land on your doorstep within a week. Take the box to a FedEx store.

Curious, did you only email your manager? Or did you actually pick up the phone. Seems people these days are scared to actually talk to someone.

Carryover days and personal holidays don’t get paid out when you leave. That is what I am using.

I also just resigned and the off boarding process starts AFTER your last day. My manager sent me a text after I was gone asking for my personal email address, which was already in Workday. Recieved an email from WF today with referrence number stating they were working on getting the computer returned. I was told the box and shipping lable will be sent top my house.

I quit over 6 months ago and still have all my equipment…manager said boxes would come to collect it all but that didn’t happen.

There is a box program where they mail you empty boxes and labels based on what equipment you have. Search in workday for monitored disposal and logistics.

Send your 1,2,&3up an email letting them know since no one has sent instructions on the equipment you will be storing it at your residence for a $500 a day rate. I did that on my last day at 9 am and had boxes and shipping labels delivered to my door by 3 pm

You contact the helpdesk and cc your manager and the HR rep and your petsonal email. You tell them to send you a prepaid shipping label then you go to the nearest shipping location and they provide you with a box. You request delivery confirmation and tracking so they can't say it was never received. F* them.

They mail you a box for your equipment and you mail it back. I got mine after my last day and mailed in it. I would put a tu-d in the box too if I were you as going away gift. Good luck.

Whoa, are you me? Is this just a weird Wells Fargo thing? My manager has said nothing to me since I gave notice and I'm wondering WTF? How did I get rid of this equipment (only person in my location that I never go to)? Does he want me to transfer this work to someone else, document where I'm at? What gives? I'm silently sitting back waiting for him to do something since he's done NOTHING in the year that he's "managed" me. I f*cking onboarded myself. This is the worst managed organization that I've ever worked for.

Why are you wasting PTO in this situation? Put in notice and they will likely give you paid time for it anyway, and you can sell back the 5 days.

Hello employee,

Forward the equipment to your foreign replacement so he or she may work from home.

Best,

Why wouldn't you call HR instead of posting here? Guarantee if you're listed as RTO to an office that means you'll be required to drop off your equipment. The "hour away" part doesn't matter, it's distance. If you're listed as remote you should still have the box they sent the stuff in or they'll give you a label to mail ur isht back.
