Why does Ford have 13,000 or more UAW workers compared to GM or Stellantis ?
Ford has 56,000 UAW workers compared to approx 42,000 at GM and 40 at Stellantis .
Why hasn’t Ford management considered headcount reduction here as well as salaried employees ? These stats come from a profit sharing article ..:

Nothing Ford can do about it. The company can't afford a strike this year.

Simple! GM is assembling many vehicles in China and shipping to US. No UAW in China!
Simple - More UAW employees allow Ford to have direct line with the POTUS.
