Fidelity does not care about diversity

Abby had her shareholder meeting. Gloated about crypto and Reddit and all the big new WI clients like Boeing.

What I noticed was zero diversity in the audience. Not even the South Asian folk who are the backbone of this place. Never mind Latino and Black.

So sad. What a phony company we work for!

where was the in person presentation held? i’m sure it was Boston. there was a huge virtual presence as well. i know many non-white people who received shares. Fidelity is a great company and embraces diversity.

Maybe the box check people should show up to the meeting?

Biden hired all the box check people and just look at the sh-t show he has gotten us into.

With the market not recovering a RIF is on the way. It will be interesting to watch HR scramble to to keep the RIF classes even so they do not get sued.

Hiring the best doesn’t mean not hiring white people, sorry to disappoint. The US and many countries still consist of a huge proportion of white people. Successful white men make up a lot of finance. New England is also very white. Be the change you want to see. Recruit your friends.

That's because they don't REALLY care about diversity. They care about people swiping in 5x a month and if you happen to be a not white/male who lives within 2 hours of campus...all the better. If they really cared about diversity they'd hire the best, most diverse candidates anywhere in the country.

Wow...... please let them know what "racial mix" would be ideal in your mind for the next meeting.

That is who happened to show up on site. Maybe next meeting you could poll everyone watching to see if you are happy with the mix of the complete audience?

crypto is a scam ripoff and has always been worthless. I'd rather buy a petrified dog tu-d for 25c and sell it to my neighbor for 50c.

Most companies do not. When budgets tighten, the thing that matters most is shareholder ROI. DEI initiatives have low/no immediate ROI.
