Yesterday highlighted CHIPS Act rivalry between Intel and TSMC in particular, as the US chipmaker voiced its view that American firms should get higher priority when it comes to financial assistance from the government.

However, the White House has effectively given Intel a slap, by stating that the goal of the fund is not to help out struggling companies – and hinted that Apple chipmaker TSMC is likely to be a higher priority

Ouch. Biden Bucks turned into Biden Burn.

Intel could team up with TSMC on this. TSMC does the fabs, Intel does the daycare.

US government is not so stupid as to put all its eggs in Intel's basket. Of course it wants to incentivize TSMC and Samsung to bring their leading edge fabs here.

Really, this was Pat's secret sauce? Anybody could see the broken logic in this plan more than a year ago. Intel makes logic, they just don't use it.

Soon Intel employees will be mandatorily sent to the shores of Taiwan, while Pat thanks us for our sacrifice. Mandatory service on the shores of Taiwan will be removed after 3 quarters.

Intel is an incompetent led company and really deserves no money at all.

No company spent so much money and got so little than Intel, government money will be squandered even faster
