Thought I was underpaid compared to others but I am making about $290/hr since I rarely go into work and pretend to work from home. Actual work (emails passing the buck, occasional MOC, meetings) is about 8 hours a week.
So though I may be paid less than some of you, I am WINNING!
I'm too embarrassed to post my salary... after decades of employment and decent rankings, I'm still underpaid compared to others. Because of my seriously low salary, I'm leaving as soon as I can. Last year I discovered someone who I've been training is making 75k more than me with 20 yrs less experience. At that moment, I decided I'm no longer working weekends or past 8 hrs. The saying is true "work like a dog, get treated like a dog".
What salary range would one expecting if with ~12 years of experiences (non-XOM), Upstream, Engineering?
Go to Glassdoor, indeed, numbers here are 🗑️🗑️🗑️

OP - your annual survey on the Layoff page is, as always, a success.
Got a bunch of folks with an M.S. or Ph.D. in B.S.
Maybe several of them are you.
Klowns of tejas shine upon you.

Every time one of these salary threads go up the replies are all the same predictable combination of trolling and wishful thinking.
There’s more than one place on the inter-webs to find reliable salary info. This isn’t one of them.

If you’re in Geoscience, don’t look at the money, just go anywhere else, there’s no glimmer of future for you at EM. That’s true even for sponsored people; only the absolute top “high potential” will still be here in a few years. If you’re not sponsored, you’re straight dead meat.
I hope you are trolling or I am underpaid.
CL 25 making 175 with a bad ranking? Not sure about that.

what do traders at Exxon make?
@1szw+1loR6LO
Why do you think they are moving all the jobs to BTC.
@1vbu+1loR6LOB But, you won't be fired tomorrow because some id--tic high potential mo--n has to be ranked higher than you no matter what you do. Somebody has to take the fall in this company and the unlucky employees have the winning tickets. So yes, we will make a lot of money until tomorrow when we get fired for no reason. In the meantime, you still have a stable job and can sleep at night. You are a privileged person dude. We are so fu---d.
Well we sorta invented the petroleum industry.. Partner
Are you really making $21k after 9 years in oil and gas? If so it's you who's getting hosed. The average fast food worker in the US makes that much with no experience and no degree.
