Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

RIF Fear

Does anyone but me think that even if you get transitioned, you will have to worry about losing your job every single month?

I don't know how people are commenting on some other posts that Change Healthcare was better than Optum. I do not share the same thought as I recently joined Change (before court order on UHC deal) and have found it to be the worst companies I ever worked for. There is so much politics (which is true everywhere) but Change takes it to a new level. People are always worried about their jobs, say something that should take 30 mins takes 2 days for completion. The org so so reluctant to adapt. Though can't say much about how the new world in Optum would be.

What is “constants sweeps off your desktops” supposed to mean?

Everyday… they have so much analytical micro managing technology that calculates your performance role and your positions long term ability to affect the bottom dollar. Optum scrutinizes everything I mean they will flag you on your LinkedIn if your picture or graphics don’t align to their liking. Constants sweeps off your desktops.

Yup. Looking at what optum employees are saying on lay offs at optum, it seems they have very frequent lay offs

Yes, as they seem to have frequent cuts. Plus, the integration doesn't appear to be complete and while they are transitioning all Change employees, it is unclear whether there will be positions or roles for all the staff. That is a fact.
