Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

WFH

Wow asset management is busy making WFH look bad.

Well done just like main stream media.

STOP posting questions in Town Halls about policy changes going back to the office. Specially if there is a 50% you won't like the answer

you are just forcing them to make it official, keep it at the supervisor level

it doesn’t matter what upper management says. lower management will continue to ignore workers not going into the office.

I love how people believe they have to right to dictate terms of employment to their employer just like they thought they had the right to dictate to their neighbors to wear masks and get the jab…

The L2 should know if WFH employee is doing the same amount of work. Most likely, without a commute, the employee is working more & less tired=more productive. If WFH employee is less productive and the L2 does not notice, the L2 is not doing his job. Cut middle micro-management.

So tired of the stupid return to work argument. I have worked in offices and at home. People at the office spend just as much time talking to coworkers or wandering around the office as people at home spend doing small tasks like putting dishes in the dishwasher. Also you get company mandated breaks in the office. So what is the difference if you take that same break in your home. People’s work ethic and job responsibilities do not change just because you are at home. Get over it people!

Time to go to work like the rest of your essential co-workers did during the Covid pandemic. Be glad you were blessed for the years you were able to spend secluded away while the rest of us had to show up everyday to support all the people that were working from home while also being exposed. So Whaaah!! Don’t expect any sympathy here!!

Keep fighting back and watch your remote job disappear to someone or somewhere else. Last time I checked this isn’t welfare or charity and AT&T signs our checks thus they get to make the rules. I don’t agree that everyone needs to return because some are part of groups that are scattered so it doesn’t make sense for them to show up every day.

Get to the office people. Get over it. Your vacation is over.

Blah blah blah....So tired of this tired argument. I can't control my productive people, because they may not be 100% in front of their PC. We need to nanny state and micromanage people- even if their job doesn't necessitate them being in the office. One size fits all. Whatever!
