It’s all so unnecessary. The entire disruption to team members and ultimately to customers is completely avoidable. Fire these people who have no idea what they’re doing. They’ve failed to give TM’s what they need to get the job done. They do not care about team members or customers, they’re completely out of touch. Customers have put up with enough and will now say enough if enough and go somewhere else. Just that simple

Let’s have AI replace the id--ts at global. What a savings that would be, and customers might actually count again .

That's what project Sriracha is the beginning of. Phasing out buyers and having AI do all the ordering. It just doesn't work right now because Whole Foods won't give us the labor budget for the system to operate properly. We have to be able to fully work all load and backstock and properly cycle count before the AI can do it's job.

It's to operate lean with as little people as possible. Most cuts will be at leads level so less managers and supervisors to manage across various groups. Trim out the lazy managers and leads. Goal is to remove dead weight who comes in whenever it suits them or who does as little as possibe (we all know who those people are in our groups). More and stricter rules will be implemented and enforced to force people to quit. Less chiefs and less Indians to take on heavy workloads.

The Walmart approach is ok if you’re as big as Walmart , but in this case it’s gonna be disastrous. What a bunch of egg heads . The customer will suffer for sure

they are so worried about cutting guys way down on the pay scale totem pole...its ridiculous...how many regional coordinators making double the pay of the buyers, yet cant figure out how to order adequate product for the amazon promos do we need(and why arent they held accountable for this sc--w up which happens with great regularity in produce)...how many clipboard and coffee cup carrying astl's do stores need?? making hefty salaried wages when they could get some of the same work out of that "shift leader" position they have at some locations???

Cut cut cut try to operate at bare bones crews. Every store has the group of people that are too invested working at WFM that they are stuck and coperate knows that. They wil use and abuse those people to the fullest extent.

Yes, all but the busiest stores will operate with only 2 buyers instead of 4. In lower volume stores 1 buyer and one ATL will buy. This means many buyers will be forced out or not replaced when they leave. Only high volume stores will have 4 or 5 buyers which is still a decrease for them.

Now in my store it is abundantly clear which buyer would not make the cut. They would not have to take a pay cut (so they say) or be separated but the team is operating $4k over labor budget as is so you know they will be papering him until he's gone.

Buyers in grocery got cut down to two years ago but that didn't work out. And they will just do what they always have and habe people do some ordering without the buyer title or pay.

There is a good chance Buyers will go away but we have been hearing this since IRMA came along 15years ago.
