Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford on welfare

Every one of us 10 million Michigan residents had to chip in $63 today for Ford’s Chinese battery plant. Let that sink in. While we waste $2 BILLION every year on Ford Next insanity.

I read all the comments about the EV's and LAUGH HYSTERICALLY! We DO NOT have an infrastructure that can support our power grids now during a seasonal storm. Do you REALLY believe we can support EV's?
Why couldn't we start/continue with a Hybrid and move from there as we build the infrastructure.
Didn't you ever hear the old saying "never put all your eggs into one basket?"

Stop drinking the Kool Aid! Please, WAKE UP!

Hope everyone is paying attention to the businesses with high debt loads getting squeezed out of existence.
I felt bad explaining to FCG that his money in Ford Interest Advantage was totally unsecured. He thought it was a money market account. This as he was commenting on how foolish people were to have greater than FDIC guarantee (250K) in a bank, with regards to the Silicon Valley Bank failure today.
Be careful about putting eggs in an unprotected basket.

"if Ford doesn’t transition to EVs FAST, it will go out of business"

😂 😂 😂

Are you serious?

Please come back here in 3 years and update us on your statement.

Look to the industry leaders who are working toward EV as well as investing in the future of ICE and hybrid, they will once again prove to be the winners in this race

Ford is going all in with pocket jacks and are going to hit a bad flop.

You honestly trust this leadership to get it right?

"We are leading the company's transformation to a whole new way of doing business as a mobility company"

Damn son, Jim Jones would have loved you.

Our "mobility" innovation gets sold in our product and our product is the dizzling sh#ts.

Stop it, you sound like everyone who thought we were going to lead the AV market a few years ago.

This company is in DESPERATE need of leadership who can bridge modern technology with a platform to offer the customer. We do not and never will sell our "awesome" technology, we sell a quality automobile that people want to buy that has our innovative tech. And today, we have neither.

Pathetic

@ckw+1lxW5r5N Many voted you message down, but you are 100% correct. We know on the inside what’s coming, but will NOT say because it is a game changer. Mr. Farley will speak to Wall Street on March 23rd. All of you should watch it to see what’s coming. Even then it only be 20% of the full picture to keep the competition guessing. I keep saying to you all… give it 3 years and Ford will be on top.

Moran left Palm Alto for vacation Maui on FF miles paid for by Ford. Still getting $1 Million salary. Question is, does he het a PEP for Ces Canopy failure, of does Flv get a PEP for the overall failure? ACCOUNTABILITY FOR SHAREHOLDERS!

Ford Next is laughable. Look at all their ' directors ', what they've done ( rather what they haven't done ) add all the salaries, bonuses, all the money on research, pilots, logisitics, facilities and over the course of a few years its big money. The FAIL of AV was a huge cash drain. Add all the money and resources lost in Miami, Austin and who knows what other cities. The high turnover of incompetent leadership. Anyone remember John Rich's d-mb speech how great and invested Ford is for long term then gets forced out. Sherif Marakby? Even Alexandra Ford did a ' rotation ' . Add the empire building from the id--ts brought in from HP. Musgraves and Moser and you are damn right it's laughable and pathetic. FLV knows he's done. The whole crew goes to Palo Alto ( absolutely unnecessary ) to figure out who to cut and how theyre going to get out of the mess they made. Accountability.

It is utterly laughable that you think the burn rate of Ford Next is $2B. While I don't agree with the group I would be surprised if their burn rate is even 25% of that, with about 500 employees and minimal investments. Canopy may not be a good business but it was already funded by Ford and ADT so I doubt it is fully drawing on our financials.

Bring back tax incentives for the film-making industry. Clearly there were such great measurable benefits to those tax breaks, how could they have ever discontinued them? Bring back the film crews to make documentaries on the huge successes to come from the huge tax breaks given to Ford at the Marshall project.
Did anyone benchmark the giveaways the state gave to Ford at the Marshall project compared to tax dollars given to Ford at the battery plant project in the south? Just curious. Thanks.

Doug Field is a professional job hopper. ANYONE CAN SEE THAT!.
He accomplished nothing at his previous employers and now bleeds Ford of needed funds and resources.
WALL STREET has lost patience, especially after the BS Hackett spewed. Most of the digital work is farmed out and none of the EV programs are on track. The FAIL of Lightning has diminished consumer confidence. Heinrichs was kicked out botching up Explorer launch, why havsn't leadership being held accountable for the FAIL of one of our most important products????? After all, ANYONE CAN SEE THAT!!!!!!!. ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A SHAREHOLDER!

Look at it this way. The sooner Ford goes out of business, the sooner they and taxpayers in Michigan stop losing money! SIMPLE!

Hopefully our Esteemed Grand Transportation Secretary will arrive soon to ensure there are not 'too many white construction workers' on site in Marshall. Party above all !

Yeah and just wait till Gretchen learns that the only jobs this plant will create are construction jobs. After the plant is built and the automation is switched on, all they need is a crew to turn the line on and off. I assume she toured a real battery plant before committing tax payer funds for the endeavor? Hmm, if it was so good, why did Virginia back out of the deal?

Doug Field is not in that type of group you say. Anyone can see that, especially if you are part of Model e. We are leading the company's transformation to a whole new way of doing business as a mobility company. Up until now, only bits and pieces of Model e products/services have been released to the public. The best is yet to come.

The majority of employees are not angered by Ford moving forward, progressing and including dev of electric vehicles. It's the blatant incompetence of so-called " leaders " as Franck Louis Victor, Christian Moran, Robert Moser, Doug Field, Farley and many more than can not guide successful strategies leading to profitable products and business.
Ford Next has drained the company BILLIONS of $$$$$ with nothing to show. FLV talks in circles, nothing he or his directors have done has moved the company forward and while thousands are terminated, they have been exempt from consequences.
ACCOUNTABILITY! Shareholders and Wall Street are well aware leadership is the cause of Ford's failures. While GM, Toyota, Tesla, etc show profits, Ford looses billions.

I’m sure it’s a nightmare to manage for employees but if Ford doesn’t transition to EVs FAST, it will go out of business. The pushback from everyone on EVs, Ford Next is laughable. Transition now or don’t exist by the end of the decade, if not sooner.
