Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Layoff predictions

None of you “predicting” dates and huge layoffs have been right. I don’t believe any of this info. None of you have inside info or been on big executive calls. Liars and trolls.

3/21 appears inevitable if you follow the comments/trends.
I think the big question on everyone’s mind is what areas will be impacted? Leaders in my group keep stating we’re properly staffed. Is this to make us feel comfortable in the meantime?
Not sure I’m buying it regardless because it seems some mid level management has just as little info that we do.
3/21.

the schedule is published several months in advance. 3/7 was on that schedule, and you can read for yourself here that there were plenty of layoffs 3/7

Usually its a Thursday that is the date. But perhaps there are Tues/Thursday in March since they have so many layoffs.

I have posted on this board a handful of times since Nov. ‘22. Dir. Have been on numerous calls with execs (I counted five execs recently) who have said March is the month. Heard 9,000 by mid-year. It is happening. I am “in the know,” as my job focuses on WF employees doing bad things, including taking proprietary, WF info with them on their way out. Our focus is on preventing that, so have known about this “big event” since late last year TO TRY AND PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. So some people are in the know b/c they have to be! (Enough already)…

Um, yes they have. I know dozens that have been laid off, and when I heard about it on this site to. Just because no one in YOUR area got canned on a specific date doesn't mean no one got fired.

@OP, if you are gonna continue visiting this site, try reading it differently, it might change your perspective. Don’t read it like a news portal, cause it’s not. The threads are not news articles, their accuracy is not in OP’s headlines, but in people’s engagement. Pay attention to vote numbers and the number of replies claiming the similar things, and you’ll probably get the answers you seek.

Hey 3/23 hasn't happened yet. People should be grateful they get laid off this year since they got their 401 K matching last year.

Been enjoying all the banter here, cracking me up. Need the humor as I am a likely target for layoffs. Despite wanting to be laid off it still is stressful as a single income earner for my family.

Every day I am hyper analyzing everything, from making sure my co-workers know I still care while extending no more olive branches to those that make WF an extremely challenging place to work.

I predict many Call Centers will be closed. 50% of the work force has been sent to the Philippines.

Based on teamwork, Saul has 10% and wells India IT is around 16% labor force. Is this really helping Wellsfargo to have innovative digital platform. How much of business align IT ? Maybe another 5%. Rest of folks under Charlie doing the manual work . Where cut is planned? Is this model working?

Sorry, but I tend to agree with OP, allot of false layoff forecasting goes on in this forum. Those getting laid off may be more of those getting fired for cause….

Um.... I think they have been pretty right on target. They said 3/7 and it was 3/7. Of course the way Wells is going every week now, doesn't seem hard to predict.
